The International Silver Co. is not an independent silver company, but rather a conglomerate of smaller companies. The Wilcox Silver Co. uses gold and silver plating on nickel silver or white metals, as indicated by the markings "Wilcox S. P. Co." and "International S. Co." with cross hammers in the center. These markings may not be well-known, but they help identify the item's date, which in this case is estimated to be between 1889 and 1910.
