Check that the water temperature, pH, and other water parameters match those of the water the guppies are coming from. Float the Bag: Place the sealed bag containing the guppies in the new tank. Let it float for about 15-20 minutes to equalize the temperature between the bag water and the tank water. Add Tank Water to the Bag: Open the bag and roll down the top edges to create an air pocket so it can float. Every 5 minutes, add a small amount of tank water to the bag (about 1/4 cup). Do this for about 30 minutes. This helps the guppies gradually get used to the water chemistry in the new tank.
