Rare Haggadah illustrated by Arthur Szyk...Hebrew and English...large format 8.75" x 7"...metal cover and pages in good condition...inscription on front page...printed in Israel Ar thur Szyk, (1894-1951) was a well-known Polish-Jewish artist and illustrator who developed an inimitable style closer to medieval illuminated manuscripts than any sort of contemporary expression. During the 1930's and 40's he was a prolific illustrator for magazines such as Life and Colliers, famous for his political cartoons and anti-fascist pieces. But Szyk's best-known work is probably the illustrated Haggadah, first produced in the late 1930's. Show more
