Often, the natural bloom on the egg can soften or partially hide the speckling. Speckling may vary from day to day, and occasionally a hen may lay a completely plain egg. That said, every bird in our Silverudds Blue flock carries speckled genetics, and the range of blue and green egg shades remains absolutely beautiful.
