MHV (MOON Hybrid Volume) technology employs a clever combination of digital attenuation and analog gain levels to allow for high-performance volume control when the 681 is not connected to a MOON preamplifier without compromising the audio signal in the digital domain. At the heart of the 681 is the MDE1, a re-clocking FPGA with an innovative DAC implementation to convert audio with industry- leading accuracy.
