What makes Simba different? Simba (Swahili for 'Lion') is a product of our partnership with Lion Hills Coffee (USA), particularly with Alison Tuiyott, the founder. After an initial meeting in early 2025, we coalesced around the need to have more Kenyan coffee in the market, and more young people involved in the industry. In January 2026, we met our goal of sponsoring a student through Barista School. A first of many. This is a single-estate /single-family coffee from Alison's family. About us Coffee Plus 254 is a Kenyan-led coffee brand operating in the Boston area. We release a small number of traceable small and micro-lots each season, and every one of them comes from a specific cooperative or estate. We rotate our coffee list to showcase the range in Kenya's coffees. We can tell you who grew it, where, and how it was processed, like this AB from Alison and the Barngetuny family. The Plus 254 in our name is a nod to Kenya’s country code and symbolizes the centrality of Kenya in our mission.
