The Simplex 4098-9733 is a white TrueAlarm analog addressable heat sensor. It measures local temperature for analysis at the fire alarm control unit and is self-restoring, providing rate-compensated fixed temperature sensing with or without rate-of-rise detection. It fits TrueAlarm sensor bases and communicates over IDNet or MAPNET II.Key features Fixed temperature thresholds of 57.2°C (135°F) or 68°C (155°F), programmable at the panel Rate-of-rise detection selectable at 8.3°C or 11.1°C (15°F or 20°F) per minute Can be programmed as a utility device to monitor temperature extremes from 0°C to 68°C, for example freeze warnings or HVAC problems (panel dependent) Self-restoring Can be fitted in place of a smoke sensor during dusty building work; the panel flags the substitute and it runs at a default sensitivity TrueAlarm analog sensing: sensor values are digitally transmitted to the panel, which averages them and compares present readings to decide on alarm or trouble Panel-selectable sensitivity, timed (e.g. day/night) sensitivity and multi-stage alarm operation Peak value logging and automatic sensitivity monitoring to meet NFPA 72 testing requirements Magnetic functional testing Ceiling or wall mounting in any TrueAlarm base, such as the 4098-9792 standard base Listed to UL 521 and ULC-S530 Technical specifications Part number: 4098-9733 (white) Fixed temperature settings: 57.2°C or 68°C UL/ULC spacing: 18.3m x 18.3m (60 x 60ft) at 57.2°C; 12.2m x 12.2m (40 x 40ft) at 68°C FM spacing: 6.1m x 6.1m fixed temperature only (RTI Quick); 15.2m x 15.2m with rate-of-rise (RTI Ultra Fast) Communications: IDNet or MAPNET II, auto-selected, one address per base Operating temperature: 0°C to 50°C Storage temperature: -18°C to 60°C Humidity: 10% to 95% RH Housing colour: Frost white Rating: NEMA 1 Compatibility: Simplex 4007ES, 4010, 4010ES, 4100ES and 4100U fire alarm control units (and 4008 series with reduced features) on IDNet, or 4020, 4100 and 4120 series, Universal Transponders and 2120 TrueAlarm CDTs on MAPNET II Listings: UL 521, ULC-S530
