I am ripped out of my thoughts as I sink into the meter-deep snow to just above the knee, almost losing my balance. A movement captures my attention. It’s the Arctic hare, almost c overed in snow. Only the dark eyes and a little shading on the two long ears stand out from the surroundings. Here I sit, in the middle of this endless untamed land, surrounded by snow, silence and solitude.
