It features a shaped collar, raglan sleeves and a box pleat on the back. The silhouette is feminine with A-line shaping and slightly cropped sleeves. The jacket is worked from the top down. The neckline is shaped with short rows, and raglan increases are worked at the same time. The yoke and the body are worked back and forth with special edge stitches along the fronts. Three buttonholes are worked on the right front, and short rows are worked across the chest to create a better fit. The box pleat is sewn closed, the buttons are sewn on, and stitches are knitted up for the collar. The raglan sleeves are worked in garter stitch in the round with short rows, and the edges are bound off using a purled I-cord bind-off.
