The flagship of the SR range and the product of five years of development, it is built for heavier, fully equipped setups: a heavy seat, a Base Direct Drive, a full pedal set and multiple screens, all moved without compromising responsiveness. Like the rest of the range it is a fully plug-and-play system, designed, manufactured and tested by SIMRIG in Sweden, and shipped complete with the SIMRIG Control Center software at no subscription cost. Two mounting systems are offered: included 20x20 mm aluminium profiles (maximum rig width 620 mm) or EasyBrackets (CNC-machined, pre-attached to the actuators, no maximum rig width, suited to 40x80 and larger). The matching plastic support brackets for your chosen profile height are supplied in the box. The actuators must be mounted in a rectangle, 700-1100 mm apart, with the SIMRIG S-logo facing outwards. Software SIMRIG Control Center is included with no extra cost and must run in the background during use. It reads telemetry from supported titles and converts vehicle forces into motion, with an Auto-Tune function that records your driving to generate a tuned baseline profile per vehicle. Setup Notes Installation is plug-and-play: fix the four actuators, the ECU and the emergency stop to the rig, connect the four 8-pin actuator cables, the USB cable, the low-voltage and mains cables, then install SIMRIG Control Center together with the FTDI drivers. The emergency stop connects to the dedicated E-stop port on the ECU. Use the Load Estimator in the software to balance the load 50/50 front-to-rear (± 5 %) for best lifespan and performance. With the EasyBrackets, the M8x80 bolts are tightened to 24 Nm using the supplied Nordlock washers. Proper cable strain relief with the included clips and ties is essential given the constant motion. Which model to choose The SR1, SR2 and SR3 share the same software and mounting systems and differ only in maximum actuated load: 175 kg, 225 kg and 250 kg respectively. The SR3 is the right choice when the driver weighs more than 120 kg, when the rig is a heavy 40x120 or 40x160 build, or when you are loading a fully equipped cockpit and want maximum headroom under the load limit. FAQ What is the difference between the SR3 and the SR2? Both are 3-DOF systems with identical software, actuators, travel and latency. The SR3 raises the maximum actuated load from 225 kg to 250 kg and ships with a 1000 W power supply instead of 750 W, making it the choice for heavier rigs and drivers above 120 kg. Is the emergency stop mandatory? Yes. The emergency stop is a required safety feature and the system will not operate without it connected to the E-stop port on the ECU. Software error code 13 appears if it is disconnected or activated. Does the SIMRIG SR3 work on PlayStation or Xbox? The motion system runs on a Windows 10/11 PC via SIMRIG Control Center, which reads PC telemetry.
