A replica Sinclair C5 Chain Tensioner. I have designed this as a direct replacement for the original which is easily and unfortunately often lost! The kit includes the following pa rts: Replica Chain Tensioner Frame Mount C Clip Spring Cable Tie Fitting Instructions Open out the spring slightly with a pair of pliers. This is required for easy fitting. Fit the spring to the tensioner making sure that the opening of the spring end is facing away from the tensioner. This means the top opening will be facing towards the chassis mounting hole. Fit the C clip to the frame With index finger holding the spring and other fingers holding the tensioner feed the assembly through the body mounting part of the frame and locate the spring end through the small hole on the chassis. Lever the chain tensioner into the C clip. Loop the cable tie through the centre of the spring around the chassis. This ensures that the tensioner and spring are not lost if they fall off. Depress the chain tensioner and fit the chain. Note: The spring supplied is of correct tension for an original chain. A shorter chain will create too much tension and a longer chain will create little tension resulting in the chain derailing. Additional photos added for reference when fitting. Show more
