Condition: Excellent, meticulously and lovingly restored condition. 7' x 20 x 3 Wilderness single fin - Shaped by Bob Duncan ReStoked by Bob Merson Bob Merson not only restores vintage surfboards, he "restokes" them! Wilderness surfboards was founded by George Greenough and Michael Cundith in Santa Barbara in 1966. Simultaneously a second location was opened in Angourie, Australia. Wilderness was at the forefront of Shortboard evolution. Greenough's futuristic kneeboard designs, bottom shapes and high aspect ratio flex fins were adapted to stand up surfing. With test tracks like Rincon, Angourie points and surrounding breaks - Wilderness designs evolved quickly, and were highly sought after Bob Duncan joined Wilderness as a shaper on the late 1960's and later became owner. This one one of his shapes. This gem is from the early to mid 1970's. Overall condition was not bad, however the was some delamination near the nose and some soft spots and poor attempts at ding repair on the bottom and rails. After the repairs were made it got a little color enhancement and a couple of resin pinlines. This thing is a missile!
