Introduced in 2000, Verdure has become one of Artel's most celebrated signature motifs, translating a vintage, romantic botanical print into a contemporary form on glass. Perfectly proportioned for whiskey, fine spirits, cocktails, juice, or water, the Single Old Fashioned is slightly smaller than a traditional rocks glass while maintaining a satisfyingly substantial feel in the hand. CraftsmanshipHandcrafted in the Czech Republic from 100% lead-free crystal, each glass is mouth-blown, hand-cut, and hand-polished by master artisans using traditional Bohemian glassmaking techniques — a namesake tribute to the early 20th-century Czech artisan collective Artel, who rejected industrial mass production in favor of handcrafted artistry. The intricate Verdure motif is meticulously hand-engraved using traditional copper wheel technique, carved leaf-by-leaf to contrast the textured frost of the blossoms against clear, polished glass, a level of intricacy only a handful of Bohemia's most elite master engravers can execute. Because every piece is individually handcrafted, subtle variations and tiny air bubbles are natural characteristics that celebrate the authenticity of true artisan-made crystal.
