Roast development and processing affect solubility, body, acidity, clarity, and finish. KLLR Brumas del Zurqui Costa Rica Natural is described with raspberry jam, milk chocolate, hazelnut, and red wine. Keep the package sealed, cool, and dry. Grind whole beans immediately before brewing; for preground coffee, reduce exposure to air and moisture after opening.Preparation and Dialing GuidanceFor pour-over, begin with 18 g coffee to 300 g water at 200–205°F. Use a medium-fine grind, bloom with about 55 g, and pour in controlled pulses. If the cup is sharp or thin, grind finer or extend drawdown; if it is drying, grind coarser.Taste after the coffee cools slightly. Under-extraction often appears as sharp acidity, weak sweetness, or a short finish; over-extraction can become bitter or drying. Weigh dose and beverage yield, keep the brew ratio stable, and change one variable at a time.Choosing the Right FormatWhole bean gives the greatest control over extraction. Select preground coffee only when the grind matches the brewer; espresso, drip, pour-over, and French press settings are not interchangeable. Compare it with other products in the Specialty Coffee collection. For repeatable grinding, the Turin DF64 Gen 2.7 supports small, measurable grind changes.Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat does this product taste like? The documented profile is raspberry jam, milk chocolate, hazelnut, and red wine. After opening, reseal it promptly and follow any refrigeration instructions on the package.Consistency and EvaluationFreshly roasted coffee releases carbon dioxide, so a short degassing rest can improve extraction consistency, especially for espresso. Use filtered water with enough mineral content for extraction, weigh coffee and water, and keep dose and brew ratio fixed while evaluating grind. For pour-over, a fast drawdown usually calls for a finer setting; a stalled bed calls for a coarser setting or gentler agitation.Reading the CupCompare the first hot sip with the cooler cup because heat can hide sweetness and finer aromatics. Note fragrance, flavor, acidity, body, aftertaste, and overall balance before changing the recipe. If milk or sweetener is part of your routine, taste the coffee black first and then prepare it your usual way.Package Size and Use RateLarger bags suit high-volume households and offices, while smaller packages help occasional drinkers preserve aromatics. Divide bulk coffee into well-sealed portions and open one at a time. Keep unopened portions away from heat, direct light, moisture, and strongly scented foods.Water and Equipment CareFiltered water and clean equipment make recipe changes easier to interpret. Rinse paper filters, preheat the brewer, and remove old coffee oils from grinders, baskets, servers, and carafes. Record coffee dose, water weight, temperature, grind setting, contact time, and final beverage yield. Those notes help reproduce a balanced cup and distinguish a bean change from a technique change.
