The system acts as an interlock between the ventilation system and the gas solenoid valve. The interlock will isolate the gas supply, in the event that the mechanical ventilation s ystem fails. In addition, the BBQ has a flame failure device fitted meaning if the flame goes out, the gas will be shut off. A high powered rangehood is necessary for this system to function.
