The etching was a difficult piece to get right due to the complex emotions around the challenges the lurcher brought, the relationship between owner and dog building as the piece did. As a result it took near a year to complete. There is palimpsest of marks in the print where open bite has been used to erase and remake the print layer after layer. This print is full of tiny intricate patterns and marks. Look closely at the clothes to see hundreds of tiny marks that give the fabric it's rough quality.
