Sitcelis has a whitish/amber pulp, but there is some conflicting information when it comes to its flavor. While Pons described the taste as not very sweet, other growers have noted super sweet honey flavors and an exotic taste. This flavor could depend on the pollination or age of the Sitcelis tree. Expect a late harvest with Sitcelis. The figs are medium sized, and very resilient. Their tougher skin gives them little susceptibility to pests, resistance to heavy rains, and little to no cracking. They are good to transport and have strong attachment to the tree that could make them a good candidate for drying on the tree. Pons notes that Sitcelis has a symmetrical, oblong shape and tan skin color with some purple blushing. Sitcelis grows on trees with 1- and 3-lobed leaves with wavy margins.
