Site Takeover
Jackson Solar – Site Takeover Service Need service, maintenance, or warranty assistance on a solar system that Jackson Solar did not originally install? Our Site Takeover Service i s the required first step before Jackson Solar can perform any maintenance, repair, diagnostic, or warranty-related work on an existing solar installation. For customers with an orphaned solar system—for example, when the original installer has gone out of business, stopped servicing the area, or is otherwise no longer available—the Site Takeover process can be especially valuable. By properly onboarding the system, establishing manufacturer and monitoring access, and becoming the servicing contractor, Jackson Solar can help restore your ability to utilize applicable product and performance warranties on your solar equipment, subject to the original manufacturer’s warranty terms and eligibility requirements. Our Site Takeover program is currently available for qualifying systems equipped with Generac, SolarEdge, or Enphase inverters. Why Is a Site Takeover Required? Before Jackson Solar can perform maintenance, repairs, diagnostics, or warranty-related work on a system installed by another company, we need to properly evaluate and document the installation. The Site Takeover process allows Jackson Solar to: Review your system's equipment and configuration Verify system operation and current performance Identify existing faults, installation concerns, or necessary repairs Establish access to applicable monitoring and manufacturer platforms Document your system for future troubleshooting and service Become the servicing solar contractor for qualifying orphaned systems Assist with eligible manufacturer warranty claims and warranty-related service Provide a clear path for future maintenance and repairs Once your Site Takeover is complete, Jackson Solar can provide maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and applicable warranty-related service for your system. Help Restore Warranty Support for Orphaned Solar Systems One of the most important benefits of Site Takeover is for customers whose original solar installer is no longer available. Many solar components are backed by long-term manufacturer product and performance warranties, but accessing those warranties can become difficult when the original installation company disappears or stops supporting the system. Through the Site Takeover process, Jackson Solar can become your servicing partner, establish the necessary system and manufacturer access, and help you pursue qualifying warranty claims. For eligible equipment, this can effectively restore the warranty support that may have been lost when your system became orphaned, allowing you to once again take advantage of applicable manufacturer product and performance warranties. Manufacturer warranty coverage remains subject to the original manufacturer's terms, conditions, eligibility requirements, and approval. Your Local Solar Service Partner Site Takeover gives you a local solar company that already knows your system before the next problem occurs. Once your system is in our service network, our team can often review system performance remotely, identify alerts or production issues, and help diagnose problems before scheduling an on-site visit. That can make future service faster, easier, and more efficient because we already understand your installation and have access to the information necessary to troubleshoot it. Instead of starting over every time something goes wrong, you have a local team that already knows your system. Virtual Inspection May Save You the Inspection Fee Every Site Takeover requires an initial system evaluation, but an on-site inspection is not always necessary. For qualifying systems, Jackson Solar may be able to complete the required evaluation virtually through the system's monitoring platform along with photographs and information supplied by the customer. If we can obtain everything necessary to approve the system remotely, you may be able to avoid the separate on-site inspection fee. If an on-site inspection is required, the inspection fee is charged separately from the Site Takeover fee. What If We Find a Problem? A system must meet Jackson Solar's service requirements before the Site Takeover can be completed. If our evaluation identifies an existing issue, we will explain what we found and work with you to determine what is necessary to bring the system into acceptable operating condition. Any repairs or corrective work required are billed separately from the Site Takeover and inspection fees. Once those items are resolved and the system is approved, we can complete the Site Takeover and begin providing ongoing service. Maintenance & Warranty Service A completed Site Takeover is required before Jackson Solar performs maintenance, repairs, diagnostics, or warranty-related work on systems we did not originally install. This requirement helps ensure our team has the system information, manufacturer access, monitoring access, and understanding necessary to properly support your equipment. For orphaned systems, completing the Site Takeover can also provide the missing link between the homeowner and the equipment manufacturer, helping restore access to qualifying warranty support. Engineering System Monitoring & System Service Subscription Completing a Site Takeover also qualifies your system for our Engineering System Monitoring and System Service Subscription. This provides an additional level of ongoing oversight and support, allowing Jackson Solar to partner with you throughout the life of your system. Our goal is simple: help keep your solar system producing, identify problems quickly, minimize downtime, preserve access to available warranty coverage, and make getting service as easy as possible. Bring Your Solar System Back Under Professional Support An orphaned solar system does not have to mean an unsupported solar system. Jackson Solar's Site Takeover Service gives owners of qualifying Generac, SolarEdge, and Enphase systems a path back to professional local service, monitoring, maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and applicable manufacturer warranty support. Contact Jackson Solar to begin your Site Takeover. We will first determine whether your system can be evaluated virtually, which may allow you to avoid a separate on-site inspection fee.
