Sitia PDO Extra Virgin Olive Oil defines the special and unique quality attributes of color, flavor and aroma. It has a free acidity level below 0.8% which makes it versatile and can be used for cooking. The Lantzanakis family has been growing olives since 1995 on their family estate in Sitia. The olives are biodynamicly cultivated using natural and traditional methods. They are collected and immediately cold pressed, then bottled at the family's own facility. The fact that the olives are grown on a single estate from unique olive tree species makes this oil truly one-of-a-kind. The Sitia region of Crete in Greece is one of the few that have received the EU quality certification - PDO (Protected Designation of Origin).
