Lodolite is a variety of quartz with inclusions of chlorite, iron and calcite. These minerals can be seen as plumes in the colorless stone with green, pink, yellow, brown, white an d red. It is often called garden quartz or scenic quartz because it looks like a mossy covered miniature garden. To me, lodolite often looks like the Maine Atlantic tidal pools with their plumes of algae and the rippling clear water. So I wanted to make something that reminded me of the ocean. This ring features a beautiful garden quartz set in a simple straight bezel. Around the gemstone, I have delicately placed little silver barnacles that I have hand-forged from molten silver. Set atop a half-round band for comfort. ☀ The half-round band measures 3mm wide, fits true to size. Show more
