Held in a safe, outdoor skate park setting or in the shop if there is bad weather, each session is led by an experienced coach who offers one-on-one support as students learn how to: Identify and understand the parts of the skateboard (deck, trucks, wheels, grip tape, bolts, and bearings) Establish proper stance (regular or goofy) Learn how to balance, push, roll, and stop safely Practice safe fall techniques Build familiarity with basic movement and foot placement We emphasize safety gear at all times—helmets, knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist guards—and create a supportive, fun environment where every skater progresses at their own pace. Each student also receives an introduction to skatepark etiquette, including: How to take turns respectfully on ramps and features The importance of looking both ways before entering a run Encouraging fellow skaters and being part of the community Disrupt lessons go beyond tricks—we build discipline, awareness, and confidence, setting up every student to become a strong, independent skater.
