Skooshny are one of the great lost cult bands of American alternative music, a group who've always maintained mystery and a strong self-belief, whilst dazzling with amazing songs.Skooshny are a group who were always ahead of their time, during their early years they were producing what some might called Paisley Underground style music almost a decade before the genre had a name, they were also ahead of the 80s and 90s Alternative "college rock" genre by years too.Forged from the songwriting genius of Mark Breyer and cemented together by the class musicianship of David Winogrond, Bruce Wagner and others - Skooshny is a band which cannot ultimately be pigeon-holed, over the years they've been called power pop, psychedelic, alternative, indie and have been compared to artists such as R.E.M, XTC, The Soft Boys, and Brevis Fond as well as earlier luminaries such as the Byrds however they is much more to the band than these comparisons. Skooshny are a unique group, with a unique vision and unique sound, who have made consistently great music during their lifetime.
