The SkyLance M400 is a lightweight, drone-mounted high-pressure spray lance built for the DJI Matrice 400. It brings precise, directional water cleaning to façades, glass, solar panels, and other hard-to-reach exterior surfaces — removing the need for scaffolding, cradles, or aerial lifts. Plug-and-play mounting and an interchangeable nozzle system let a single operator adapt to different surfaces and soiling levels in the field. The DJI Matrice 400 airframe is required and sold separately. Key benefits Purpose-built fit. Plug-and-play mount designed specifically for the DJI Matrice 400 — no custom wiring. High-pressure clean. 200 bar (~2,900 PSI) directional water at 30 L/min (~7.9 GPM) for effective façade cleaning. Adaptable nozzles. Interchangeable nozzle system, including a dedicated solar panel nozzle on the rear manifold. Lightweight body. ~1 kg carbon-fibre construction minimises impact on payload and flight time. Built for the field. Corrosion-resistant industrial materials rated for outdoor, high-humidity operation. Interference-free. EMI-shielded design avoids interference with drone flight systems; CE compliant. How it works The lance mounts under the drone and receives high-pressure water through a quick-connect coupling at the base manifold. Its carbon-fibre body keeps weight low for stable flight while the operator directs the spray onto the target surface. Mount: Plug-and-play mount under the DJI Matrice 400 — no custom wiring or adaptation. Feed: High-pressure water enters through the quick-connect coupling on the base manifold. Spray: The interchangeable nozzle delivers a directional high-pressure jet; swap heads per surface. Under EASA rules a SORA authorisation is issued to the operator, for a defined operation, by the national aviation authority. What the SkyLance M400 provides is documented engineering evidence an operator can reference when building that case: Hose retention. A steel wire-rope lanyard, supplied with the kit, links the SkyHose supply hose to the lance so that a detached hose stays with the aircraft instead of falling to the ground. Pressure-loss shutdown. When operated with a WasherDrone ground pump unit, a pressure switch stops the pump as soon as line pressure collapses, ending water delivery. Passive reach limits. The volume the aircraft can occupy is bounded by the finite length of the supply hose and by the aircraft's payload capacity, independently of pilot input. Working out your reach limit The suspended weight of the water-filled supply hose grows as the aircraft climbs, so payload capacity — not hose length alone — usually sets the ceiling. max. suspended hose = (drone payload capacity − airborne kit mass) ÷ water-filled hose mass per metre Worked example, DJI Matrice 400: payload 6.2 kg, airborne kit ≈1 kg, water-filled hose 0.1 kg/m → approximately 52 m of suspended hose. The governing limit is whichever is lower: this figure or the actual hose length. Verify all three inputs for your own configuration. Supporting technical documentation for these measures is available to partners and customers on request. What’s included SkyLance M400 spray lance Steel hose-retention lanyard Mounting components Installation accessories Before you deploy Requires a DJI Matrice 400. The lance mounts on an M400 airframe, which is required and sold separately; it is not a standalone unit. High-pressure line. Confirm all quick-connect couplings are fully locked before operation. Handling. Route the high-pressure line clear of the spray zone; store dry and rinse after use. Wear parts. Nozzles are consumable and may require periodic replacement. Supply hose and pump. The SkyHose supply hose and the ground pump unit are separate products and are not included in this kit. Shipping and customs duties are not included.
