They are playable in whichever game the y originally debuted in onwards. There are 2 advantages to these reposed characters: -They are able to change their "upgrade paths" as many times as they like. Other Skylanders cannot change their upgrade paths unless they are fully reset, but reposed Skylanders can. -One extra upgrade referred to as a "Wow-Pow" is available exclusively to reposed Skylanders.
