The Sky-Watcher EQ-AL55i is an ultra portable WiFi and GO-TO equatorial travel mount ideal for astrophotography with small to medium sized telescopes. With a payload capacity of 10kg, the EQ-AL55i is a significant step up from the Star Adventurer GTI. In addition to the built-in WiFi with full smartphone control with the free SkyWatcher app for iOS and Android devices, the EQ-AL55i can be controlled with the Synscan hand controller (sold separately). The integrated USB-C port allows to connect the mount directly to a computer, ZWO AsiAir, Prima Luce Lab Eagle or Touptek Stellavita. The EQ-AL55i features a Vixen style dovetail saddle for compatible accessories and optical tube assemblies. The mount includes a sturdy steel legged tripod. The integrated polar scope with an included illuminator helps the polar alignment process in both the Northern or Southern hemispheres. That is a great advantage for achieving professional astronomical photos. In addition, the auto-guide system enhances the tracking in both axes with a guide scope and camera (sold separately). Note: Power supply not included. The mount comes with a cigarette lighter cable which will allow you to power it from a standard 12V field battery. If you wish to power the mount from an AC source, we recommend the Testar 12V 5A camera power supply.
