Join us at The Old Bank Pottery Studio and craft your very own slab-built jug - perfect for serving your favourite beverages or as a handmade gift for someone special. In this 4.5-hour workshop, led by hand-building tutor Ros Ingram, you'll make a functional jug from start to finish using slab methods: shaping, joining, refining. Students are invited to a follow-on glazing session to finish their work or the staff at the Old Bank can glaze jugs for students at no cost. This workshop is a good follow-up for anyone who attended the hand-building taster class, but the class is suitable for all skill levels, from complete beginners to experienced potters. Duration: 4.5 hours Age: 15+ What to bring: All tools and aprons are provided. What to wear: Clay is messy, so we encourage casual dress when possible. The stoneware clay used in this class will brush or wash off of most fabrics relatively easily.
