SLADES Being sneaker and roller skate enthusiasts, Slade wanted to offer you a quality pair. It was a double challenge. The first was conceiving the very first sneaker ever with its parent company system (Flaneurz) built into the sole.The second was creating a product that is trendy, unisex and comfortable at the same time, both for walking and rolling. They opted for a high shoe cut for optimal ankle support. For the materials,100% organic cotton combined with parts of suede, a resistant and durable material. Once validated the design in Paris, they went to Felgueiras, in Portugal, to manufacture the Slade. THE SOLE Just like the S-QUAD upper, the Slades sole is manufactured in Felgueiras. It’s made of thermoplastic rubber, a flexible and low waste material. Its flexibility guarantees you comfort and the low cost allows us to offer an affordable price. In order to stimulate local production, the mechanical parts around which the sole is injected are 100% made in France! They are made of stainless steel, manufactured and assembled in France, as well as the tools used to produce them. THE LOWER They adapted their standard plate to best suit the Slades system. Our plates are made of polypropylene, which is a highly resistant, lightweight and recyclable material. The chassis (plate above the roller skate plate that allows you to lock your Slades) is manufactured in France, using French molds. It is made of 100% recycled ABS plastic. Besides its sustainable production, it’s above all a quality chassis. The ABS plastic is a material that’s commonly used in sports equipment. Its sturdiness makes it perfect for roller skating. Once again, we chose to manufacture the mechanical parts of your rolling bases in France. Part of these pieces are produced here, with French tooling. The other part is laser cut.
