She slept deeply on the ship, but it was not a peaceful sleep. Many thoughts intruded her mind. There was something deep within her that needed to come out. This work is part of a short story about a prodigal child who runs away from home, but realises that she cannot run away from herself. This story explores how the hurt we nurse in childhood can inevitably bring up issues when we are older. A story of forgiveness, self love and discovering one’s self.
