The head section can raise up to approximately 70°, and the knee section can raise up to approximately 40°. Hi-Lo means the entire mattress platform can move up and down for transfers and caregiver access. What is the difference between a box spring and a bunkie board?A bunkie board is thinner and positions the mattress lower in the bed, giving more rail height above the mattress. A box spring is thicker and raises the mattress higher, which may support easier transfers. There is no price or comfort difference — only a height difference. Is the SleepSafe® mattress waterproof?No. The mattress is water-resistant, not waterproof. If frequent moisture is expected, use an additional waterproof or water-resistant mattress protector. How do I clean the SleepSafe® bed and mattress?Clean surfaces with warm water, mild detergent, and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, and solvents.
