The Schagerl 850 Bb Flugelhorn is the perfect instrument for the enthusiastic student, school band or amateur “doubler”. The traditional small wrap, rose brass leadpipe and 160mm rose brass bell provide a rich, warm tone that is darker and fluffier than the brighter 800 flugel (which features a gold brass bell). Intonation and response is secure, especially above the staff where many flugelhorns falter. The fast and quiet third slide trigger allows for fine tuning adjustments in the low register. Our most popular “intermediate” instrument, this is the ideal “first flugelhorn” for any player.
