This slips trips and falls e-learning course is designed to help you understand what slips, trips and falls within the workplace are and how to prevent accidents and injury occurring. Slips, trips and falls are the second highest single cause of workplace injuries. They can also be the initial cause of a wide range of other accident types such as falls from heights and scalds from contact with hot liquids and surfaces. Upon successful completion of this course you will: Have an awareness of slip, trip and fall hazards and why slips, trips and falls are an issue for everyone. Understand how slips, trips and falls happen. Recognise what the law requires of employers and employees. Understand what's involved in a risk assessment of the workplace and be able to identify slip, trip and fall hazards. Know how to prevent slips, trips and falls by following appropriate safety measures. Assessments This course contains online self assessments after each module and an online certification exam at the very end. The self assessments do not count towards the final examination marks but simply give you an idea of how you are doing. On successfully passing the final certification exam you will be issued with a certificate. Who should complete this course? The training course is designed for employees with little or no knowledge of slips, trips and falls, so is ideal for induction and refresher training.
