The HAY Slit Table XL is the extra large version of the original Slit Table. With a matching height and a larger top, this table is perfectly suited for use as a coffee table. The design of the slit table is inspired by Origami. By folding the plate frame underneath the tabletop to form the table legs - the art of folding paper is represented in steel. In doing so a slit emerges where the two edges meet, thus giving the table its name. This process creates a beautifully simple, yet distinctive form.
