It is tossed like other flying discs, and when given aggressive backspin will travel forward and up, the internal vanes generating lift from the spinning motion, then the forward motion will diminish after a short distance while the spinning continues, and then the disc will slowly settle (think hover) down, making it very easy to catch. Low mass means no damage to walls, furniture, little brother, etc. so it is great for indoor use. Tilting slightly to right or left will cause the spinning vanes to thrust it to right or left, creating the capability to turn around corners, or evade pass intercepts in games.
