The sloes used in this beer were picked by Russell, a friend from early on in our journey. The day after they were picked they arrived with us and we carried out a carbonic macerat ion on the fruit before we added beer from a single barrel. You'll find intense aromas of marzipan and sharp, juicy hedgerow berries. High acidity and sloe skin tannins complement the bold fruitiness with woody notes, vanilla and almond rounding off a lingering finish. Drink this one fresh or age to see where the funk takes it!
