The Carillo Throw was designed by Chloe White, an illustrator based in Vermont, USA. Chloe's work is rooted in her surroundings - the open landscapes, nature trails, and creative community of the Green Mountain State.For this design, she drew inspiration from photos she took at a botanical garden in California, building the composition the way she always does: starting with shapes, then playing with them until everything feels balanced. The result is a dreamy landscape - a reaching tree against a blush sky, a crescent moon, star-shaped leaves, and layered botanical forms in terracotta, sage green, dusty blue, and peach. Every Slowdown Studio throw starts as an original artwork. We collaborate with independent artists around the world to translate their creativity into woven form. The Carillo Throw is jacquard woven from high-quality cotton (with at least 25% recycled cotton): lightweight, textured, and built to last.
