SM server comes in the four different versions: SM Server Lite for 1-5 users, SM Lite Plus for 6-10 users, SM Server Daemon Basic, and SM Server Daemon Enterprise. Both Lite and Lite Plus versions have limited control over permissions(No SM Daemon app). Daemon Basic gives granular control over permission for PRO or PLUS w/Client Server modules clients. And Enterprise adds Active directory/Open Directory support for clients. NOTE: the Database uses MySQL or MariaDB and thus can be installed on either Linux or windows machines. MAC computers no longer are compatible with this database engine and cannot be used as hosts. The Daemon is MAC only however at this time. V4 Server assumes LAN usage or equivalent speed. *No client software is included. SM server is not a search app. It is an extension of the search apps on the LAN to allow for centralized databasing.
