About Mottahedeh Mottahedeh is a renowned American company, established in 1929, specializing in luxury porcelain and ceramic reproductions of historical designs. Known for its high-quality craftsmanship, Mottahedeh has produced tableware and decorative pieces inspired by museum collections, historical artifacts, and royal designs. The company has often collaborated with institutions like the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation to create authentic reproductions. Many of the Mottahedeh collections are made at the Vista Alegre factory in Portugal. Founded in 1824, the Vista Alegre Porcelain Factory was the first industrial unit dedicated to producing porcelain in Portugal. Pieces produced through this collaboration are marked with both the Mottahedeh and Vista Alegre factory marks. The partnership produced several collections including this Bicentennial collection.
