During firing, the subtle speckles in the clay gently emerge through the dark glaze, creating depth, movement, and character across the surface. The glaze shifts beautifully in different light, revealing soft tones of dark brown, charcoal, and black. Combined with the wide open form and raised foot, it creates a piece that feels both understated and striking at the same time. Each bowl is thrown individually on the wheel in my home studio.
