Has great edible young leaves all through the growing season for salads. Use them as a base ingredient instead of something like lettuce. To manage as a leaf crop, coppice or polla rd trees every 1-5 years to keep them bushy. If left as a standard tree, it will produce massive amounts of fragrant flowers in Summer which are very popular with the bees. Flowers are medicinal and make a great sleepy tea.
