Following the design of our large pollen feeder we needed a smaller version for those backyard beekeepers who do not need that much pollen out at once. It is a similar design to the large one with an hourglass shape to keep the rain out. We have fewer holes in the bottom that are small enough to allow the bees to enter and exit. See our videos! Our lid is a screw on style with large loops for grabbing or for strapping down just like the larger one. We added a foot at the bottom to give it more stability. We added a rough texture to the body to keep it from sliding in your hand with gloves on. Dimensions: Stands 10 inches tall and is 6.25 inches in diameter. The lid is 4.5 inches wide not including the handles and the top of the feeder has a 4 inch opening so you can put your hand inside if you ever need to clean out the feeder. You can also easily wash the feeder in soap and water just make sure you rinse thoroughly. Yes, we added a bee on the lid and if you prefer to have the lid without a bee, please message us and we will make you a blank lid. This feeder is printed with PETG plastic which is UV resistant and will stand up to many seasons. We know bees are attracted to purple but we are offering these feeders in many different colors. NOTE: This feeder is made out of plastic and while the sun does not melt PETG plastic, if you use excessive force on clamping down the lid with the hooks, it can bend the plastic enough to cause issues with unscrewing the lid from the box. If using tie-downs just make it tight enough that the wind cannot blow it over or a racoon knock it down. As with all 3d printed items, some cosmetic imperfections happen but will not affect the function of the feeder. Designed and made in the USA by beekeepers, for beekeepers!
