Small Samurai Empires is an action-programming area-control game for 2-4 players, where players compete for dominance over Japan with their Samurai armies. The game unfolds over 3 Eras, each consisting of 2 rounds. During each round, players take turns placing order tokens facedown in one of the slots available across the 4 regions of Japan. Once all tokens are placed and the slots are filled, the tokens are revealed and resolved in order by their owners. These order tokens allow players to recruit powerful Samurai armies, move their forces to conquer provinces, build castles to defend and control their territories, and perform other strategic actions.
