Small Thistle Quaich Small Thistle Quaich made from pewter, beautifully decorated with Scottish Thistle Design design on inside with the inscription "He that hath this cup in hand drink up the dram let it not stand" The outer has a nice Scottish Mountain scene including Highland Stag & Grouse. The ancient Scottish Quaich has traditionally been used for hundreds of years throughout Scotland, originally used by "Aw the Heiland Chiefs, O' Aw the Heiland Clans" as a cup of friendship and welcome, today in Scotland, the tradition still lives on, the Quaich is filled with a good Scottish Single Malt Whisky and offered at ceremonies & celebrations. One place in particular in Scotland comes to mind where the old traditions are still followed to this day by Scottish Patriot Bill Duncan, custodian of the Loch Callater Lodge, high up in the Scottish Cairngorm Mountains.
