"Smile"celebrates the joy that a child feels when they find a safe home where they are loved and cared for. When I painted this live at a No More Orphans Experience" in West Palm Beach, Florida, a friend of mine who was also adopted and has an adopted son attended the event. After I finished painting it, he told me that his son looks exactly like the boy in the painting!
