This course is suitable for delegates who have previously completed the five-day CITB SMSTS course, or a previous SMSTS Refresher, and still hold a valid certificate. Evidence of a current SMSTS certificate must be provided before attending. There is also a final multiple-choice examination at the end of the course. Successful delegates are awarded the CITB Site Managers Safety Training Refresher Certificate. Certificate Validity The SMSTS Refresher certificate is valid for five years. To remain in the scheme, delegates must complete another SMSTS Refresher course before their current certificate expires. If an SMSTS certificate expires before the refresher course is completed, delegates will usually need to retake the full five-day SMSTS course. Entry Requirements Delegates must hold a valid SMSTS certificate and provide evidence of eligibility before attending the course.
