Ignite one end of the smudge stick and then blow out the flame. Move the stick around the space you want to clear, wafting the smoke into the corners and around doorways and windows. While you're doing this focus your intent with an affirmation, something like "May any unwanted, or negative energies, entities or vibrations please leave this space, and return to the healing white light above." Once completed, douse the stick in dirt, beach sand or salt to ensure all embers are out. Never leave a burning smudge stick unattended. You can generally re light and re use a smudge stick 2 or 3 times. Smudging is all about your intention and what you would like to remove, always leave your intention on a positive note such as "with love and light. The maker of these smudge sticks has added different herbs which have additional healing/meditation/cleansing properties.
