This scarf features a simple Fair Isle pattern inspired by the traditional Faroese pattern Kollafjarðarskákið, but with the Shetland tradition of combining colours in a blend and a contrast, moving from dark to light and from light to dark. The colours chosen are inspired by traditional Swedish colours and the Swedish concept of a smultronställe, a personally special place. The scarf is knitted in jumperweight but in the round, which makes for a nice, cosy fabric that will keep you warm in the cold season.
