The ouroboros, a serpent or dragon eating its own tail, an ancient symbol for the cycle of life, death and rebirth remains relevant and popular. This dainty hand carved rock crystal amulet charm depicts a snake, in turn inspired by the crawling snake found on the reverse of an ancient Greek rock crystal scarab signet ring from the Archaic period 600-500 BC. The rock crystal comes from Ataléia in Brazil which is noted for its exceptional clarity. Hand made in recycled 22k yellow gold and hand carved rock crystal.
