The Snugpak Sleeka Elite Reversible Jacket WGTE is a Softie-insulated jacket built for cold-weather outdoor use, military operations and active expeditions, with one big advantage: it turns inside out. Two distinct outer faces, Olive Green and Black, let you adapt to different settings and roles without carrying a second jacket. Softie synthetic insulation gives a high warmth-to-weight ratio and recovers its loft quickly after packing, keeping performance in damp conditions. Both faces use Paratex Light, a lightweight windproof, breathable and water-repellent nylon, and reinforced panels at the shoulders, elbows and cuffs add durability in hard use. YKK zipped hand pockets with flaps work whichever face is outward, an internal chest pocket secures smaller items, and drawcords at the collar, waist and hem trap warm air and tune the fit. There is no hood, just a drawcord stand collar, which keeps the bulk off your neck when a hooded shell or a helmet goes over the top. Rated to -5°C comfort and -10°C low, it weighs 790g and packs to 26 x 18cm in the supplied compression sack. Six Snugpak jackets are rated -5°C, and none of them is warmer than another. What separates them is what they are. The Sleeka Elite Reversible is the only one with two outer faces, 790g in a relaxed cut that goes over other layers. The Sleeka Elite is the single-faced version of the same relaxed cut, lighter at 740g, in Olive Green only. The Arrowhead Jacket develops the Sleeka Elite for tactical use, recut to a closer technical fit at 820g. The SJ6 Jacket is UK-made at 760g. The Tactical Softie Smock is a UK-made pullover at 760g with side vent zips that reach a holster or belt kit without taking it off. The Torrent Jacket is the only waterproof one, 10000mm hydrostatic head with fully taped seams, at 950g. Three of the six have a hood and three do not: the SJ6's rolls away, the Arrowhead's and the Torrent's zip off completely, and this jacket, the Sleeka Elite and the Smock have none, just a drawcord collar that sits cleanly under a helmet or a shell. Relaxed fit, so take your normal size. This is the opposite of Snugpak's technical-fit jackets, which need sizing up to layer.
