The Snugpak Tomahawk Jacket WGTE is a heavy-duty insulated cold-weather jacket rated to -15°C comfort, built for military personnel, professional users and outdoor specialists working in severe winter conditions. Its defining feature is an extended scooped back that adds lower-body coverage and wind protection during movement or static duties, where a shorter jacket leaves you exposed. Softie synthetic insulation provides serious warmth, while weather-resistant Paratex outer fabrics keep wind and light moisture at bay. A fully insulated detachable hood with a protective peak zips off or adjusts at the sides and rear for a secure fit in driving wind, and a fold-out chin guard and brushed-lined neck warmer add face and neck protection. It comes in Olive Green and Multicam in sizes S to XXL. Two Snugpak jackets are rated -15°C, and both have the extended back. The Tomahawk and the SJ12 both run -15°C comfort and -20°C low, and both add length at the rear rather than stopping at the waist. The Tomahawk is 1185g and its insulated hood detaches and carries a protective peak for driving wind and rain. The SJ12 Jacket is UK-made at 1260g with a permanent insulated hood and no peak, so take that one if you would rather the hood never came off. Wearing a midlayer underneath? Go one size up. The Tomahawk is cut to a technical fit, and Snugpak's chest figures are body measurements that allow for a base layer, not for a fleece or a softie jacket under the shell.
