Rosalind Birkitt qualified as a primary school teacher from the Froebel Institute, Roehampton it 1974. Since then she has been a class teacher for three-year olds up to nine-year olds for many years. She left teaching to have her own children and when they were school age returned to do remedial teaching. In 1990 she gained the R.S.A Diploma for Specific Learning Difficulties, and ran her own Special Needs Department. She has since gained an Advanced Certificate in counselling and studied healing.
